Privacy Policy

What we collect

This is a static informational site. We collect personal information on the contact form, where you voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message so we can respond. Contact submissions are stored in a private database and used only to handle your message. If you choose to support the site, Stripe — not this site — collects the payment details you enter on Stripe's checkout page.

How you vote is none of our business

We do not ask about, record, or infer your political views, party affiliation, or voting choices, and we never will.

Technical data

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) to deliver and protect the site; see the Cloudflare privacy policy. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (a privacy-preserving CAPTCHA alternative). For abuse prevention, the contact API stores a one-way hash of the submitting IP address for rate limiting — never the raw address alongside your submission. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives standard request metadata when the font files are fetched.

Google Analytics 4

We do not use Google Analytics 4. The site does not load a Google Analytics tag (gtag.js) and we do not set Google Analytics cookies. If that changes, this page will say so before the tag is added.

Advertising

Some substantial how-to guides show contextual display ads from Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-1147071442758508). Ads appear only on those how-to guides when the page has enough main text. We do not place ads on the research feed, on ballot-measure explainers, on the state directory, on resource listings, or on other pages. We do not sell candidate, party, or ballot-measure sponsorships. A Google ad is labeled Sponsored. We do not place political ads.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at optout.aboutads.info or aboutads.info. See Google's advertising policy. The Politics sensitive category is blocked site-level in the AdSense Brand safety console, not via on-page filters.

Affiliate links

This site does not use affiliate links. We do not earn a commission when you follow a link to an official election office or any other source. Voluntary support payments are not affiliate referrals and are not tax-deductible. If an affiliate link is ever added, it will be labeled Affiliate, in its own block, separate from a Google ad labeled Sponsored.

Voluntary support payments

Optional payments on /support are processed by Stripe via a public Payment Link. Support is voluntary and not tax-deductible. We do not store card numbers. Stripe's processing is described in the Stripe privacy policy. A Payment Link is only offered after it has been configured for this site.

Cookies

We set no first-party analytics cookies and no Google Analytics 4 cookies. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies on how-to guides that load ads. Cloudflare may set strictly functional cookies required for security features such as Turnstile. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, and you can use the opt-outs linked above for personalized ads.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell, rent, or share contact-form personal information with anyone. Request metadata on pages that load AdSense is processed by Google as described above. Contact submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve them. To request deletion of a submission, email scott@savyadvisors.com.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
